Aminta

A new diosan - sketched out traditionally, because a) done in class (don't tell anyone)
and b) hey - that's how all my orignal refs are..

Aminta was one of the first generation Diosans - born a goddess, but stripped of immortality when she rebelled against the 'greater gods'

Aminta was probably one of the rebels with the most status (her father and two of her siblings were part of the 'great 13 olympians' )- she wasn't part of the rebels because she wanted more status for herself, she just wanted equality among all devine beings - she saw the lesser gods being trodden upon by the greater gods, and thought that it was wrong.

She was a goddess of healing, songs, and youth - and was notably kindhearted, but naieve and easily tricked. She sang with her brother - who was the patron of instrumental music - and really got along with him better than her sister, who tried to teach her to hunt, but quickly found that Aminta didn't have the stomach for it.

Aminta is derived from the greek 'defender'

^^ Haha! Here's an example of where I screw with mythology a little. Which in my world, works. When the lesser gods rebelled, the greater gods cast them to diosa - a kind of limbo - with only remnants of their powers and instructions that if they could protect mortals for a time, they would be allowed back. But in casting the lesser gods out, they wiped them out of the historical record - out of people's minds. No one remembered them, and if they were the patron of things - their closest relatives became the patron of those things. That's what happened with Aminta - all of her attributes got dumped back onto her brother and sister (which is why now in mythology they're the patrons of soooooo many things).
